James Pease

James "Jim" Edward Pease, age 77, of Saucier, passed away on Friday, March 24, 2017.
Mr. Pease was born in New Albany, IN, to Kort and Esther Lamb Pease. He served 32 years in the U.S. Army and U.S.A.F., serving as crew chief for the B52 bombers and C130 Hercules. He was one of the original hurricane hunters serving in Puerto Rico with the 53rd weather squadron. Jim was a member of the Coast Runner Association since 1976, member of the Gold Wing Road Riders Association, volunteer with the USO, and was an active member of Saucier Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, John Pease; sister, Mary Kay Miller; brother, Alva Lee Pease; granddaughter, Stephanie Pease; and grandson, I Pease.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon B. Pease of Saucier; children, David Lee (Tonja) Pease of Colorado, and Charles Allen (Tara) of Biloxi; daughter-in-law, Jane Marie (Todd Taylor) Pease; grandchildren, Jessica, Kyle, Sean, and James; sister-in-law, Sandra Gray of WA; brother-in-law, Danny Thomas; and his dachshund companions, Taz and Mesha.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 31, 2017, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2017, at Saucier Church of Christ, Highway 49, at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be held one hour prior.
Private burial will be at a later date.
