James H. "Jim" Paulk, age 88, of Helena, passed away on April 29, 2019.
He was preceded in death by 2 children, Jimmy Paulk, Jr. and Dorie Paulk; his parents, Lenora Paulk and William Paulk; 2 sisters, Violet Guynes and Geraldine Crane; and 2 brothers, Willie Paulk and Glen Roy Paulk.
Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Mickey Paulk; his children, Diane Carnley (Jerry), Bessie Paulk Hendry, Diane Vice (Jimmy), and Denny Paulk (Teresa); 14 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
Mr. Paulk was a commercial fisherman and shrimper for many years. He built his own boats and made his own nets for many years. He later worked for Vice Construction for a short period of time. He enjoyed the outdoors - especially hunting and fishing, and spending time with his wife and family
A graveside service will be at 2:30 pm Thursday, May 2, 2019, at 2:30 pm at the Paulk Family Cemetery, 12500 John Williams Road, Moss Point. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Lee Vice, Jereamy Vice, Denny Paulk, Jr., Justin Paulk, Michael Pierce, and Garett Lowman.
