James W.Nelson, age 83, of Pass Christian, died Sunday, December 24, 2006 in Pass Christian.
Mr. Nelson was born in Kiln, MS and lived in Pass Christian his entire life. He served four years in the United States Coast Guard during World War II. He was a painting contractor and a member of the VFW. Mr. Nelson was of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Nelson is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Nelson; daughter, Elaine Saucier and his parents, Peter and Mary Nelson.
He is survived by his daughter, Diane Hester and her husband, Robert Hester of Pass Christian; grandchildren, Brock and Bronson Saucier of Necaise Crossing and several great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday, December 29, 2006 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at Gulf Coast Funeral Homes, Kiln Delisle Road. Services will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel. Burial will be at New Delisle Cemetery.
