James “Jimmy” Melvin Necaise, age 72, of Pass Christian, passed away on October 5, 2024.
Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents, Sylvester Rosaire Necaise and Doris Marie Necaise; and his son, Jerred Mark Necaise.
He is survived by his son, Jamie Necaise (Michelle); his siblings, Sylvia Walker (Glen), Donnie Necaise (Becky), Thresia Dykes, Annette Ladner (Roland), Veronica Ladner (Randall), John Necaise, Mary Cade (Dewayne), Larry Necaise (Yvette), Gerard Necaise, Regina Weeks (Timothy), and Paul Necaise (LarRece); and his grandson, Stephen Necaise; his companion of 28 years, Irene Marquez and her children, Quirina Carroll (Larry), Delilah Henderson (Randall), Precious Marquez (William). Jo Sledge (Kyle); her grandchildren, Nicole Hunter, William Hunter, Malachi Carroll, Sereena Henderson, Enjoli Henderson, Jocelyn Sledge, and Kyle Sledge; and numerous other family members and friends.
Jimmy retired from the City of Diamondhead, he loved helping others and he loved animals.
Jimmy was a good man with a big heart. He was always helping others and lived a simple life. The family requests that those attending wear jeans to be comfortable since Jimmy did not care to get all dressed up. The family would also like to extend sincere gratitude to everyone who has offered kind words and prayers.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or your local Humane Society.
Visitation will be on Saturday, October 12, 2024, from 12 - 1 pm at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 9062 Kiln DeLisle Road, Pass Christian. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 pm in the church.
