James E. "Red" Lizana

James E. ""Red"" Lizana, 87, of Pass Christian died October 7, 2010 in Pass Christian.
Mr. Lizana was married to Nona Lizana for 49 years. They lived in New Orleans from 1951 until 1990, when they moved back to Pass Christian.
Mr. Lizana was a World War II Veteran proudly serving his country in the United States Army. He retired fom the International Iron Workeres Union Local #58 New Orleans after 59 years of service.
He loved fishing, shrimping, rabbit hunting, gardening, and he was a loyal New Orleans Saints Fan.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nona Lizana; his parents, Loren and Frances Lizana; his grandson, Jonathan S. Wilson; and his siblings, Lorraine Vispi, Dorothy Dauro, Edna Ladner, and Eldric Lizana.
He is survived by his children, Keith J. Lizana and Claudia L. Wilson (Frank); his brother, Leroy Lizana; his grand children, Jeremy P. Wilson, Jason P. Lizana, Sarah N. Lizana, and William K. Kolstad; and his great grandchildren, Myriah L. Ladner, Blaine C. Wilson, Jordan L. Wilson, Lainee G. Wilson, and Logan J. Lizana.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 to 10:00 pm, Monday, October 11, 2010, with a Rosary at 8:00 pm at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 9113 Kiln DeLisle Rd, Pass Christian.
The funeral service will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, October 12, 2010 in the funeral home chapel.
Burial will follow at Gulf Pines Memorial Gardens, Long Beach.
