James B. Lee went home to be with our loving father on January 26, 2009.
He was born September 27, 1922, to Carlos and Claudia Lee in Carnes, MS. He was a World War II veteran and a retired Millrite from Roy Anderson Corporation.
Pops was married to the love of his life, Doris, for 64 years. He was a loving, devoted father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Pops loved life, his family, and never met a stranger. He will be sadly missed by all those that knew him.
Pops was preceded in death by his parents, Carlos and Claudia Lee; his son, Donald Ray Lee, Sr., and many siblings.
He is survived by his loving wife, Doris; his daughter, Linda Allen and her husband, John; two sisters, Rebecca Schaffner and Martha Hercenlinsky; seven grandchildren, Lee Burril, Brian Burril and his wife, Connie, Don Lee, Jr. and his wife, Renee, Casey Burril, Laurie Trees, Jason Lee, and Anthony Allen; eleven great grandchildren, Johnathan Lee, Steven Trees, Donielle Trees, Brittany Lee, Ashley Burril, Dixie Burril, Benjamin Burril, Tiffany Cravens, Alec Sanders, Kyle Sanders, Aron Sanders; and three great great grandchildren, Trevor Lee, Austin Lee, and Miley Lee.
The visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 28, 2009, from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Rd., Gulfport. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 29, 2009, at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
