Brother James Julian II was born in Berkley, California on October 9, 1933 to the late James Haywood Julian and Bennie Mae and John Johnson (stepfather). He was a lifelong resident of Gulfport, Mississippi.
He was a member of The Annointed Temple A.O.H. Church of God under the leadership of Bishop Jonathan Tate, Sr.
He was a devoted employee and a triple retiree. Julian served over 20 years in the U.S. Navy, over 24 years of civil service and 8 years for Gulf Coast Community College. Julian was a great fisherman and a devoted Saints fan.
Brother James Julian was a 32nd degree Mason and a Past Worshiper Master. He served in many houses.
He leaves to cherish his memories his devoted wife: Doris Julian; two sisters: Evangelist Varie Davidson and Sandra (Gino) Davis; ten children: James Julian III (Shirley), Sharon Julian (Therrol), Glen Julian, Lisa Julian Preston, Vontella Jackson (Cedric), Roy Lee Alexander, Jr. (Keitha), Lacita White, Valerie Pitts (Abraham), Jamee Clark (Neil), Angela Ward (Sergio); and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchilren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A service will be held on Monday, January 23, 2012, at 12:15 p.m. at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Rd., Gulfport, MS. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
