James """"Choo Choo"""" Johnson, 74, of Long Beach, died Wednesday, November 26, 2008 in Gulfport.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Adelle Johnson; brothers, John, Dempsey, Lorene and Bobby; and sister, Marie.
He is survived by his ex-wife, Catherine; sons, Rodney (Cassie), Randy, Ricky (Kristin) and Robby (Amy); brother, Frankie; grandchildren, Amanda, Ross, Scott, Cynthia, Harley, Maverick, Aston and Lucas; step-grandchildren, Justin, Drake and Samantha; and one great-granddaughter, KaLeigh.
Mr. Johnson was a life-long resident of Long Beach. He was a truck driver for 30 years and enjoyed Long Beach High School football where he was a member of the Chain Gang.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Lakeview Nursing Center.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the service at 1 p.m., Saturday, November 29, 2008 at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 19130 Commission Road, Long Beach. Burial will follow at Conn Cemetery, Gates Ave., Long Beach. You may view and sign the guestbook at www.riemannfamily.com.
