James C. Ivie, 80, of Gulfport, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday February 10, 2009 in Gulfport.
Mr. Ivie was retired from the US Military after 23 years of service. He was a member of the VFW and a coast resident of 20 years.
He is preceded in death by his son, Billy Ivie, his former wife, Mary Ivie, and his grandson, Joseph O'Bryan.
He is survived by his wife, Doris A. Ivie of Gulfport; children, Jimmy Ivie of California and Russell Ivie of Arkansas; his stepchildren, Walter Hagin, Boyd Hagin, Lance Hagin, and Linda O'Bryan (Ray); his brother Ivan Ivie; his sister Ruby Hayes; thirteen grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
A visitation will be held Saturday Feb 14, 2009 from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Rd, Gulfport. A funeral service will be held in the funeral chapel at 4:00 p.m. following the visitation. Burial will be held at a later date.
