James Havicus, age 81, of Long Beach, passed away on April 15, 2020, at the VA Medical Center in Biloxi.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Lorraine Havicus; a brother, Johnny Havicus, and his wife, Beverly Barrett.
Survivors include his children, Cindy Fleet, Philip Medina, Michael Medina, Beverly Negron (Chris), and Michelle Carpenter (Tom); 2 brothers, Ed Havicus and Jerry Havicus; his grandchildren, Kenneth Perronne, Beverly Medina, Christina Cox, Elizabeth Gregory, Aidan Gregory, James Fleet, and Timothy Fleet; 2 great-grandchildren, Sienna Cox and Caleb Mitchell; and his extended family, Scott Gregory and Matt Paulk.
He was a native of Covington, KY and had been a longtime resident of Long Beach. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed New Orleans Saints Football, word searches, game shows, and spending time with his family and friends.
The family would like to thank Darlene Storey and Shannon Pippin and the staff at the VA for their support and care for him over the years.
