Mr. James H. Hart, age 77, resident of Gulfport, went to be with his beloved wife, Joan Higgins Hart, on Tuesday, January 6, 2009, in Gulfport.
Mr. Hart was born in Travelers Rest, SC. He was a retired Chief of the US Coast Guard, and he worked with the Civil Service at the Seabee Base. He was a very kind and gentle Christian man and a very loving father.
Mr. Hart was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings, Arthur Bedale Hart, Dan Allison Hart, Helen Grace Hart and Loucille Hart Batson. He leaves behind to cherish his memory daughters, Kelly Pucheu of Saucier, MS and Holly Logue Gross of Brunswick, GA; nephews, James Hart and Arthur Bedale Hart, Jr.; brother Juan Keith Hart of Travelers Rest, SC, grandchildren, Cantina Bowers of Alma, GA, Jody Lee of Saucier, Michael Chanclor and Christopher Chanclor both of Brunswick, GA, Tannielle Pucheu of Saucier, and seven great grandchildren.
The family would like to express a special thank you to, Mr. HartaÌ‚â‚â„¢s caregiver, Tina Bonvillion, Dr. Thomas Blanks and wife Donna, and to John Woodfield and wife Jenny.
Services may be held at a later date, the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Rd., Gulfport is in charge.
