SPC James Mitchell Green, U.S. Army, age 23, of Gulfport, MS, passed away on July 2, 2020 in Copperas Cove, TX.
He is survived by his wife, Adara Kristine Green; his son, Dawson Scott Green; his mother, Cheryl A. Mann; his father, James R. Green; 3 siblings, Elizabeth Hawkins, William Machen, and his twin brother, Thomas Green; his father and mother-in-law, Dennis and Elisa Necaise.
SPC Green was a 2017 graduate of Long Beach High School and later joined the U.S. Army. He was assigned to the 1/7 Calvary at Ft. Hood, Texas where he received the Army Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, and the NATO Medal. He also received the following overseas service ribbons: Combat and Special Skills Badge, Basic Marksmanship Goal Badge, and a Driver and Mechanic Badge. He enjoyed building military related models, reading, hiking, gaming, and spending time with his family.
Mitchell proudly served his country in the United States Army. He will be missed but not forgotten. May his legacy always be honored through his son.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 15, 2020, in the Biloxi National Cemetery.
