James Earl Gilbert passed away at home on May 4, 2011 at the age of 53.
James was born in Shaw, MS and grew up in Greenville, MS. In 1980 he moved to the Gulf Coast where he owned Home Maintenance of Diamondhead for almost 30 years.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman and had a love for classic cars and music.
James was preceded in death by his mother Hazel Ruth Farris Gilbert Love, two brothers, Harvey Junior Gilbert and Roy Danny Love.
James leaves behind his wife of 27 years Cynthia Ann Lizana Gilbert and three daughters, Christina Annette Gilbert of Lizana, MS, Jessica (John) Erin Harriel of Lizana, MS, and Rachael (Kevin) Killebrew-West of Greenville, MS. He also leaves behind five grandchildren, Savannah Smith, Jamie Harriel, John James Harriel, Keith West and Taylor West. James also leaves behind four sisters, Earnestine (Grady) Winstead of Inverness, MS; Lola Lawrence of Kosciusko, MS; Jewell (Mike) Brown of Kosciusko, MS and Judy (Lee) Hankins of Hollandale, MS. He also leaves a host of nieces and nephews and many more wonderful family and friends.
He will truly be missed.
Visitation will be at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Rd., Gulfport, Friday, May 6, 2011 from 6 to 8 PM, with the funeral service at the funeral home chapel on Saturday at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow at Wolf River Cemetery.
