James Gates Crowe

James Gates Crowe, known to his friends and family as Jim, passed away surrounded by his loving family in Ocean Springs, MS on May 15, 2023.

A native of Ann Arbor, MI, and a longtime resident of Ocean Springs, Jim was a retired MSGT of the United States Air Force and worked in the finance department.  He was an Elder at Gautier Presbyterian Church for many years. He was an avid fan of the University of Michigan, an avid Bridge Player, and enjoyed many days at the Hickory Hills Golf Club in Gautier playing the game he loved and enjoying the fellowship with friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Allene Crowe; and his wife and mother of his children, Sharon Ruth Crowe.

He is survived by his wife of more than 3 years, Mary Ann Crowe; his children, Andrea Michelle Crowe of Ocean Springs, MS and Mark Alan Crowe of Nashville, TN; his brother, John Crowe and his wife Pam of Redding, CA.; and his grandson, Evan Crowe of Nashville, TN.

He will be greatly missed and always loved and remembered by his friends and family.

A service will be held on Thursday, May 25, 2023, at the Gautier Presbyterian Church located at 1009 Us-90 in Gautier at 10:00 a.m.

Refreshments will be served immediately following the service.  Inurnment will be private.
