Mr. James ""Jim"" Cranford, Jr., age 75, of Long Beach passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2011.
Mr. Cranford was preceded in death by his parents, James E. Cranford, Sr. and Gertrude Hirth McCool.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda Hammon Cranford of Long Beach; sisters, Doris Cranford Maddux (Charles) of Richmond, VA and Betty Cranford Stevens (Dr. Kenneth) of Gulfport; children, David Clayton Cranford of Seal, Alabama and Charles Van Cranford (Brownie) of Red Oak, TX; grandchildren, SSgt. Derek Cranford of Killeen, TX, Casey Cranford, and Emma Cranford; and stepson, Ben Prisk of Ocean Springs.
Mr. Cranford was a lifelong resident of the Mississippi Gulf Coast. He graduated from Gulfport High School in 1954.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, June 6, 2011 at First United Methodist Church, Long Beach.
Arrangements by RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 19130 Commission Road, Long Beach.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Humane Society of South Mississippi, 2615 25th Avenue Gulfport, MS 39501-4832.
