James A Bufford, age 78, left the bounds of Earth on Saturday November 27, 2010.
A native of Norman Park, Georgia, James served with a special operations group as a forward air controller in Viet Nam. He served his country for over forty years, retiring from the USAF as a Technical Sergeant and from the Civil Service at Keesler AFB as a GS-11.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James E. Bufford and Ola Brinson Bufford.
He is survived by his wife of over 40 years, Mary A. Suggs Bufford; his daughter, Teri Guinther of Biloxi; his sons, Tony Bufford of Biloxi; Kurt E. Bufford and his wife Jennifer of Huntsville, AL; two grandsons, Clay Bufford of Seattle, WA and Brandon Guinther of Biloxi; and one granddaughter, Elanda (Lynde) Bufford of Huntsville, AL.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 1, 2010, at 9:00 a.m. at the Biloxi National Cemetery.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to one's favorite charity.
The Riemann Family Funeral Home, 274 Beauvoir Road in Biloxi, is in charge of arrangements.
