James Vernon Brabham, age 69, passed away in Gulfport on Saturday, March 5, 2011.
He was born on March 4, 1942, in McComb, MS, and was a resident of Pass Christian after Hurricane Katrina destroyed his home in Long Beach.
He was a graduate of McComb High School and attended The University of Mississippi. Before moving to the Coast in 2002, he resided by Chesapeake, VA and lived in Danbury, CT prior to that.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elsie McDaniel and James D. Brabham. He is survived by his son, James R. Brabham of Derby, CT; his sister, Maureen Lovell of Long Beach; his brother, George R. Catha (Jean) of Chesapeake, VA; two nieces, Karen Glass (Roger) of Gulfport and Kathy Hammons (Jackie) of Long Beach; his great nephew, David Hammons (Tiffany) and two great nieces, Leann Williams (Max) and Emily Hammons.
The Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road in Gulfport, assisted the family with funeral arrangements.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
