James R. Blum passed away on Monday, April 28, 2008.
He is survived by his wife Teresa J. Blum; brother, Raymond Blum of California; and sister, Bonnie Elliott of Arizona. He has a legacy of four children. They have created their own families and hope to be as sucessful as their father.
James had 30 years of service with the Sheriff Auxiliary between Harrison County and Imperial Valley, CA. His lifetime career, Producer/Director at Kessler Air Force Base, creating documentaries and training films of which his crowning achievement was """"Project Warrior.""""
James was an avid historical miniature war-gamer with preferences to the Prussian Army specifically """"Von Blucher"""". Early in his life, he enjoyed SCUBA diving off the coast of San Diego. Throughout his lifetime, he was a D.J. for several local radio stations and after his retirement he worked with H&R Block.
The family requests memorials be made to St. James Catholic Church Cemetery Fund, 366 Cowan Rd, Gulfport, MS 39507.
A private service for the family will be conducted at St. James Cemetery. The RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Rd., Gulfport, is in charge of the service. An online guestbook may be viewed and signed at www.riemannfamily.com
