James Bailey

James “Richard” Bailey, Jr., age 43, of Saucier, passed away on February 19, 2021.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Richard Bailey, Sr.; and his maternal and paternal grandparents.

He is survived by his wife of 5 years, Melissa Bailey of New Jersey; his mother, Mary G. Bailey, of Saucier; his children, Jaimee Bailey and Jacob Bailey, of Perkinston; his step-children, Skylar Fisher of New Jersey, Savanna Stone and Nathan Stone of Saucier; his siblings, Janie (Eddie) Schoppe of Texas, J.D. (Shannon) Torries of Saucier, Regina (Bob) Hansen of Perkinston, and Jewell (Christine) Torries of Saucier; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and other relatives and friends.

He was a native and resident of Saucier. He attended Long Beach High School and had numerous jobs from fixing 18 wheelers to inventing things.  He loved tinkering and trying to build things, fishing, crabbing, and spending time with his family.

“Our family chain is broken and nothing seems the same, but as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.”

Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 24, 2021, from 1 – 2 PM at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport.  A graveside service will be at 2:30 PM at Saucier Cemetery.
