Jacqueline ""Jackie"" Rogers, age 75, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at her home in Gulfport, on Saturday, December 4, 2010.
Mrs. Rogers was preceded in death by her husband BUC Eugene Rogers, U.S. Navy Seabees, Ret.; 2 grandsons, Jason Haley and Jonathon Riley; and 2 brothers, Robert Mallett and Charles Weaver.
She was adored by a large loving family, leaving behind five children, Frieda Kelly (Ray), Freddie Jacobs (Ann), Vickie Penton (Eugene), Kathy ""Sue"" Riley, Eddie Jacobs (Jackie), and son-in-law Dennis Penton; twelve grandchildren, Julia Haley, Tammy Renn, Tonya Jacobs, Chris Williams, Rebecca Hatfield, Whitney Penton, Matthew Penton, Bubba Riley, Mandy McDaniel, Austin Jacobs, Josh Jacobs and David Jacobs; 12 great-grandchildren; her 6 sisters and 4 brothers who remained extremely close though miles apart, numerous nieces and nephews, friends, and her faithful church family.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 6 - 8 pm at Biloxi River Baptist Church. The funeral service will be at 1 pm Thursday in the church sanctuary. Interment will be in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
