Jacqueline A. La Nasa, 80, of Diamondhead, Mississippi, passed away on March 12, 2015.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin E. Quigley, Sr. and Agnes Quigley, her brother, Edwin E. Quigley, Jr. and her sister, Gloria J. Schroeder.
She is survived by her husband, MGySgt. (Ret.) Patrick P. La Nasa, her five children, sons, Patrick R. La Nasa, David C. La Nasa, daughters, Dayra-Ann A. Henderson, Ronda S. Welsby, Jackie T. Dienst, her thirteen grandchildren, Naomi C. La Nasa, Patrick J. La Nasa, Jeremy D. La Nasa, Justin D. La Nasa, Jonothon La Nasa, Tory J. Henderson, Stacy J. Henderson, Bryan T. Welsby, Lauren Welsby, Johnathan P. Welsby, Jacqueline M. Welsby, Christopher P. Dienst, Cody R. Dienst, her great-grandchildren, Kaelie C. La Nasa, Rian I. La Nasa, Aidan M. La Nasa, Ryleigh R. La Nasa, Lucy J. La Nasa, Katie J. Henderson, Tyler J. Henderson, Emily-Ann A. Foster, Ember R. Foster, Tanner K. Slaughter, Ethan R. Slaughter, and Decker P. Dienst, a brother Auburn A. Quigley, and her sister Beverly Vaughn.
Jacqueline Agnes (Quigley) La Nasa was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, attended Mount Carmel Academy (class of '52), held varied positions in the Telephone Co., banks and department stores while raising her five children in Louisiana, Virginia, North Carolina, Tennessee, Hawaii and California. After moving to Mississippi, Jackie joined the RSVP and other volunteer groups and enjoyed various well deserved leisurely pursuits.
She will be laid to rest in The Miramar National Cemetery in San Diego, California. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Pass Christian, MS.
