Jack Morgan, age 80, of Long Beach, died Thursday, April 28, 2011, in Long Beach.
Mr. Morgan was a resident of the coast for 7 years and was a previous resident of Gretna, LA. He was employed as a purchasing agent for Avondale Shipyard and was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. Mr. Morgan enjoyed fishing, tennis, watching LSU football, and spending time with his grandson.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Rosalind Morgan, his parents, Edward Fennwick and Carrie Brady Morgan,and a brother, Dan Morgan.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Fennwick and Karen Morgan, a grandson, Bryce Morgan, 2 step-grandchildren, Paxton and Savannah Waugh, a brother, Bob Morgan, and nieces and nephews, Shawn Morgan, Brady Morgan, Danielle Morgan, and Shanna, Ron, and Vana Husband.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 noon Wednesday at St. Thomas Catholic Church, 720 East Beach Blvd., Long Beach, where friends may visit from 10 - 12 noon. Entombment will be in St. Anthony Cemetery, Houma, LA.
