Jack Baker Jones

August 23, 1923 — December 9, 2009

Mr. Jack B. Jones, Sr., 86 of Gulfport, MS, died peacefully Wednesday, Dec 9, 2009, in Gulfport. Mr. Jones was born August 23, 1923 in Clearwater, Kansas. He has been a resident of Gulfport for the last 16 years. His favorite thing to do was watching sports on TV with his canine buddies Chance and Roscoe. They were at his side at all times. Mr. Jones retired Tech Sergeant as a cook for the Air Force. He also retired from the U.S. Postal Service.
He was a loving and very devoted grandfather to two of his grandsons Corey and Casey Krohn as he took part in raising the both of them for the last 14 years.
Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Joann Jones, his first wife Eunice Jones, and only daughter Lillian (Cissy) Krohn.
Survivors include his wife, Charlotte Lindsay-Jones; two sons, Jack Jr, Stanley Jones (Angie); step daughters, Sabrina Allen (John), Dianna Turner, and Claire Coleman (Bobby); Step son, Michael Lindsay (Magan); Two brothers, Bill Jones (Wanda), Tom Jones (Rosalee); and two sisters, Jerri Garland and Betty Rooker all of Kansas. Several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He will be sadly missed by all especially by Casey Krohn and pee wee Mikey Lindsay.
The family wishes to express special thanks to Southern Hospice nurse Gracee, Garden Park ICU, Memorial Hospital, and Dr. Compton (Dianne).

Visitation will be held from 10:45am until 11:45am on Monday, December 14, 2009 at Handsboro United Methodist Church. Service to be held at 11:45 at the church, burial to follow at Biloxi National Cemetery. RIEMANN FAMIL Y FUNERAL HOME, Biloxi, is in charge of the arrangements.
