Jack Goldin, age 84, of Gulfport, passed away on January 15, 2011 in Gulfport.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rubin and Bessie Goldin.
He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Florence Goldin of Gulfport; his children, Melvin (Ronna) Goldin of Memphis, Alan (Hope) Goldin, Martin (Amy) Goldin, and Steven (Debbie) Goldin, all of Gulfport; his grandchildren, Kayla (Jason) Salomon, Joshua (Nadine) Goldin, Betsy (David) Becker, Jason (Alina) Goldin, Ryan (Naomi) Goldin, Bethany (Marc) Levee, Stacy Goldin, Melissa Goldin, Scott Goldin, Michael (Carly) Goldin, Jodi Goldin, and Russell Goldin; his great grandchildren, Aaron, Batya, and Ahava Salomon, and Rebecca, Mason, Maya, Isabella, and Jacob Goldin; and a sister, Mrs. Margie Schwartz of Dallas, TX.
Jack was born in Latvia and came to the United States with his family at the age of 4. He was married to Florence for 61 wonderful years. He was a founder of Goldin Industries. He was a founder and past president of Congregation Beth Israel and Gulf Coast B'nai B'rith. He was past president of the Gulf Coast Chapter of the Institute of Scrap Iron and Steel; an active leader of Boy Scout Troop 301; and a board member of the Salvation Army.
The most important thing to Jack was his family and he said they made him proud everyday.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Tom Blanks and staff and Jack's caregivers for their loving care.

A graveside service will be held at 3:30 p.m., Sunday, January 16, 2011 at Southern Memorial Park, Biloxi.
