EOC Jack Lloyd Fennell, Sr, U.S. Navy, Ret., age 71, of Long Beach, passed awy on June 4, 2008 in Long Beach, MS.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel Bates Fennell and Olivia Estelle Fennell; his daughter, Jackie Lynn Fennell; and his son, Jack Lloyd Fennell, Jr.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Ellen Fennell of Long Beach; his children, Carol Fennell Garner and her husband, John, of San Diego, CA; Ellenetta Fennell Marshall of Long Beach; and Samuel Jack Fennell and his wife, Laurie Caldwell Fennell, of Gulfport; his grandchildren, Amanda Garner St Lucas, John H. Garner, U.S. Army, Jerry Phillip Marshall, Daniel Caldwell, Kelly Caldwell, Sarah Fennell Stallings, Alex Fennell, and Laurin Fennell; and one great grandchild, Mino St Lucas; and three sisters, Shirley Spaulding of North Carolina, Nancy Roberts of Texas, and Sammie Davidson of Oklahoma.
He retired from the U.S. Navy after twenty years where he was a Vietnam War veteran, earning the rank of EOC.He retired fron Civil Service at the Seabee Base after twenty years where he was the general foreman of the Public Works Dept. He later was office manager for Fennell Sheetmetal.
A visitation will be held on Monday, June 9, 2008 from 11:30 AM until 12:45 PM at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, Commission Rd, Long Beach. A procession will leave the funeral home at 12:45 PM to the Biloxi National Cemetery for burial at 1:30 PM with full military honors.
