Mr. Jack E. Cantrell, 73, died Saturday, May 16, 2009, in Gulfport, MS.
Born in Russellville, AL, he relocated to Gulfport in the late 1950aÌ‚â‚â„¢s. He joined the U.S. Army and retired in 1981. He worked at Tramark Golf Course for many years. He passed away playing the game he loved, golf.
Mr. Cantrell was preceded in death by his father, E.L. Cantrell, and his mother, Bertha Loveless Cantrell. He had twelve brother and sisters.
He is survived by his son, Jack E. Cantrell, Jr., and his wife, Tina; six grandchildren; and a brother, Charles Cantrell, of Atlanta, GA and his former spouse, Brenda J. Cantrell of Gulfport. He will be missed by everyone who knew him. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road in Gulfport.
