Jack Allen

Jack Gordon Allen, age 22, of Gulfport, passed away on September 28, 2021.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Faye and Jake D. Floyd of Nashville, TN.

Survived by his loving mother, Constance Floyd Allen of Gulfport, MS; aunt, Cynthia Floyd of Nashville, TN; aunt, Cheree Floyd Bailey (Rob) of Nashville, TN; cousins: R.T. Bailey, III, Jacob Bailey, and William Bailey of Nashville, TN; most beloved fiancé, Abigail Leigh Douglas and family, John and Heather Douglas of Brookhaven, MS.

Jack was a native of Gulfport, MS and was received his education at USM in Hattiesburg, with a B.S. in Biological Sciences with an emphasis in licensure Employment.  He was currently a student teacher and Football Offensive Line Coach at Bayou View Middle School in Gulfport, MS.  While at USM, he was President of Kappa Sigma Epsilon-Nu Chapter, Academics Excellence Scholar, Anchorman for Delta Gamma, and he received the David Mosley Leadership Award.  His hobbies and interests included football, music, dancing, golf, basketball, guitar, spending time outdoors, and walks in Jones Park. He was a member of Wesley Foundation, Kappa Sigma Epsilon-Nu, and was a Dorsal Ambassador

The family would like to say Thank you to the Gulf Coast community, friends and family for the significant showing of love and support for Jack’s family in this time of deep sorrow.

In lieu of flowers, memorial Contributions may be made to Dorsal (ocean conservation), Kappa Sigma Epsilon-Nu, The Jason Foundation (youth suicide prevention), or a charity of your choice.

Visitation will be on Saturday, October 2, 2021, from 12 pm  - 2 pm at First United Methodist Church, 2301 15th Street, Gulfport, MS 39501.  The funeral service will be at 2 pm in the church sanctuary.
