Lizana
J. Lee Northrup, age 84, of Lizana, passed away on December 29, 2020.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 64 years, Margaret Cuevas Northrup; a daughter, Donna Louise (Tony) Seymour; and infant son, Quentin Northrup; his parents, Leroy and Etha Rester Northrup; a grandson, Colton Lynn Northrup; 3 sisters, Marie (Ulvin) Cuevas, Reida (Jackie) Ladner, and Helen (Ezell) Necaise; and 1 brother, J.D. Northrup.
He is survived by his children, Gwen (Grover) Ladner, J. Lee "Buddy" Northrup, Jr., Laurie (Clay) Scruggs, Kim Northrup, Kent (Rita) Northrup, Travis (Jennifer) Northrup, Valeria (Kevin) Campbell, and Nikki (Rayner) Lizana; a sister-in-law, Doris Marie Northrup; 14 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and numerous other relatives and friends.
He was a lifelong resident of the Lizana Community and a lifelong member of St. Ann Catholic Church. He was a welder for many years at different companies. J. Lee was a man of his word and enjoyed helping others. He and his family enjoyed gardening and sharing the produce with many in the community. J. Lee enjoyed talking about the old times and the quality of life that everyone shared. J. Lee loved his family and was always willing to help anyone.
Visitation will be on Friday, January 8, 2021, from 6 - 8 PM at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 9113 Kiln DeLisle Rd., Pass Christian. The funeral service will be at 10 am Saturday in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Wolf River Cemetery.
