Mrs. Iva R. Miller, long time resident of Pass Christian passed away April 29, 2012 in Columbia, MS at the age of 88.
She was born on March 2, 1924, in Tuscaloosa, AL, to Anderson McDonald Ray and Minnie Hester Ray. Iva was the last of nine children. She spent most of her life as a resident of Pass Christian, where she was a member of Pineville Presbyterian Church. While living in Pass Christian, she was a dental assistant with Dr. J.B. Bernhiem. Later in life she moved to Petal, MS and attended Petal Presbyterian Church.
Iva was preceded in death by her husband, Robert C. ""Jack"" Miller.
She is survived by her son, Dale Anderson Miller and his wife Linda of Pass Christian; daughter, Greer Allen and her husband Don of Sumrall, MS; grandchildren, Mark Allen, Jessie Allen, Stewart Miller, and Erin Miller Bostock; and great grandchildren, Jacob Allen, Sarah Allen, and Abigail Allen.
The family would like to acknowledge their deep appreciation to the staff of Myrtles Nursing Center of Columbia, MS, and Hospice Advantage for their support and care.
A graveside service is to be conducted at four o'clock in the afternoon on Tuesday, the 1st of May, at Evergreen Cemetery in Gulfport, MS.
Arrangements are under the direction of RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, MS. Tributes may be shared with the family at www.riemannfamily.com.
