Irvan John Conners, Jr.

Irvan J. Conners Jr., age 76, of Diamondhead, MS. passed away October 13, 2023. He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years Mary Ann Donnelly Conners, parents Irvan J. Conners Sr. and Dorothy Gervais Conners.  Irvan is survived by his son Irvan J Conners III and his wife Tara; his sister Janet Conners Schlauderoff; grandchildren Hannah Conners and Estelle Conners; and great grandchildren Vincent Patterson and Abram Patterson.  He was born in New Orleans, Louisiana.  He attended Chalmette Community College LSUNO in New Orleans where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree of Electrical Engineering.  He worked for ExxonMobil Refinary, Mobile Oil, and as an independent Electrical Engineer Contractor.  Irvan was an Electricians Mate veteran of the United States Navy.  He enjoyed spending time in nature, traveling, photography, art, music, computer science, advance technologies, cooking, and racing on the backroads.  He was also a UFO and Bigfoot enthusiast. Irvan lived life the way he wanted and brought happiness to the lives of those around him.  He was a true character.  It wasn’t unusual to get a “Hey, How are you doin” when you met him.  The family will receive friends 1:00 pm Saturday October 21,2023 at Riemann Waveland Funeral Home, with a prayer service to follow at 2:00 pm.  The interment will be 11:00 am Monday October 23, 2023 at Biloxi National Cemetery with military honors.  In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to St. Jude’s Children Hospital since the cemetery only allows limited arrangements of flowers.
