Irma Ladner

Irma Depreo Ladner, age 89, of Long Beach, passed away on December 20, 2022.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Olease and Mabel Faye Depreo; a sister, Merle Haas; and her first husband, Sidney Bennett.

Mrs. Ladner is survived by her loving husband, R.D. “Bobby” Ladner, Sr; her children, Stephanie (Bobby) Ariatti; Richard (Tricia) Bennett; Bradley Bennett; Don (Teresa) Ladner; Donna (Morris) Nix; and Bridget (Russell) Weatherly; her sister, Yvonne Ladner; her grandchildren, Derrick (Tarin) Ariatti, Kristen (Joshua Broussard) Ariatti, Allison Ariatti, Patrick (Brennan) Bennett), Andy (Amanda) Bennett, Alex Bennett, Al Tijerin, Megan (Chad) Herston, Madison Ladner, Mallory Ladner, Ronald Brown, Jr, Shawn Brown, Jacqueline Rudd, Pierce (Tyler) Weatherly, Gracie Weatherly, and Amelia Weatherly; 19 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

She was a native of Kiln, MS and had been a long time resident of Long Beach.  She worked more than 30 years as a pre school teacher and later owned and operated a day care.  She was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church.  Mrs. Ladner enjoyed gardening, playing cards, and being with her family.

The family would like to thank all of her caregivers and Mark Crowson and the staff of St. Joseph Hospice, Deacon Dick Henderson, Fr. Cuddy O’Connell, Fr. Paddy Mockler, and her caring niece, Janet Palmer.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 27, 2022, from 9:30 am - 11:30 am at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 720 E Beach Blvd, Long Beach, MS 39560.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 am in the church.  Interment will be in New DeLisle Cemetery.
