Iris Charles, age 54, and a resident of Ruston, LA, died Saturday, May 3, 2008 in Ruston.
Iris had lived in Ruston, LA for twenty five years but always considered the Mississippi Gulf Coast to be her home. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Ruston, and was fond of music, both country and classical.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Printess Charles; and her parents, Grady and Toledo Ivon (Henry) Walley.
She is survived by her son, Adam N. Northrop of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; her sisters, Nancy Weekley and Beverly Brannon, both of Saucier; and her nephews, David Weekley, Shane Weekley, and Kendall Clark.
Friends are invited to visit today, May 6, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11213 Hwy 49N, Gulfport, MS. The Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 7, 2008 in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Saucier Cemetery.
