Iowana Whittington Blackwell celebrated her 90th birthday with the Lord on December 16, 2010. She departed from her home in Saucier, MS for heaven at 11:00 a.m., December 16, 2010.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bonnie Weldon Blackwell; parents, Rebekah King and Jeph F. Whittington of Ramsey Springs
She was the youngest of sixteen. She was a member of Saucier United Methodist Church and a retired seamstress.
Mother gave us a lifetime of memories that made us better wives, parents, Christians, and grandparents. She is survived by her daughters, Doris I. (B) Kistler (dec. Gary W. Kistler, Sr.), Shirley Ann Cole, and Opal Sue Dale (Morris); and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, the pride and joy of her life: Mareanda I. Weems (Johnny) and their children, Sarah and Jacob, Wayne Kistler, Jr. (Beverly) and their sons, Justin and Brandon; Kayleen Lingane (Pat), and their children, Chris and Margaret; Lorene Harrell (dec. Dwayne) and their children, Madayln and Adison; Leigh Hatten (Craig) and their children, Richard, Amber and C.J.; Weldon Dale (Jennifer) and son, Landon; and Rena Dale and her daughter, Riley. ""God Bless Us Everyone.""
The Graveside Service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 18, 2010 at Blackwell Cemetery, next to Morris Hill Baptist Church, in Saucier.
