Iona C. Jacobs

Mrs. Iona C. Jacobs, age 85, of Diamondhead, died Friday, December 05, 2008, in Bay St. Louis, MS.
Mrs. Jacobs was born December 26, 1922 in Blue Springs, MS, and has been a resident of Diamondhead for ten years. She was a retired real estate broker, a member of the Diamondhead Community Church, and a partner and supporter of her husband in his long Air Force career.
She was preceded in death by her parents, O.B. Cartwright and Hattie Owen Cartwright; and a sister, Inez Cartwright.
Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Lt. Col. George D. Jacobs of Diamondhead, one son John Huckaby of Horn Lake, MS; a sister Angalene Fisher of Pass Christian, two grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 8, 2008, from 12:30pm until the service at 1:30p.m. in the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, Chapel, 19130 Commission Rd., Long Beach, with burial to follow in the Biloxi National Cemetery. An online guestbook maybe signed at www.riemannfamily.com.
