Ioan "John" Curticapian, age 43, of Gulfport, passed away on June 3, 2017.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ioan Curticapian; his in-laws, Emma Edens and Raymond Hamel, Sr.; and, Greg Landry.
Survivors include his special friend, Dawn Curticapian; step-son, Joey Williams; his mother, Nastasia Curticapian; 2 brothers, Alexandru Curticapian and Grigore Curticapian; a sister, Maria Curticapian; his extended family, Maureen Hamel, Raymond (Trena) Hamel, Kathi (Mark Courville) Landry, Cindy (Delmas) Holley, Tracy (Nicky) Ladner, Conrad (Diana) Hamel, Shannon (Matt) Kuhn, Tyler (Shelby) Hamel, and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his close friend, Jerry Strickland, and the members at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church.
Mr. Curticapian was a native of Romania and he was a resident of the coast for 18 years. He was skilled in stucco work and he enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, and reading his bible. Ioan lived by the motto "Blood makes you related, Loyalty makes you family."
Mr. Curticapian will rejoin his family in Romania for services and burial. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Gulfport.
