India T. Pique, age 54, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, of Long Beach, MS, died Tuesday, July 1, 2008, in Long Beach.
Mrs. Pique was born June 11, 1954, in Atlanta, Georgia. She has been a resident of the Mississippi Gulf Coast since 1965. She was a 1972 graduate of Long Beach High School and was a long time employee of Memorial Hospital in Gulfport as a Registered Nurse.
She is preceded in death by her father, George Tumlin, III.
Survivors include her husband of 24 years, Steven W. Pique, Sr. of Long Beach and her mother Lois J. Tumlin also of Long Beach; a sister, Cynthia Sheffield of Carriere MS; daughters Amanda Levens and husband Jay, and Kelli Pique; and a son, Steven W. Pique, Jr. all of Long Beach; grandchildren Macie Buza and Ava Jaye Levens also of Long Beach and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family wishes to extend special thanks to Dr. Davidson and his staff at the Medical Oncology Group, Brenda Dubuisson, R.N. with MHG Hospice, and the many family and friends who showed love, compassion, prayers and support to the family.
Visitation will be held Thursday, July 3, at 5:00 at the First Baptist Church of Lizana.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Susan G. Komen for the Cure of Breast Cancer Foundation.
