Ina Ray Cagle Singleton, age 90, resident of Gulfport, died on Monday, March 16, 2009, in Gulfport.
Mrs. Singleton was born in Rockport, MS to the late Henry and Della Beasley Cagle. She lived in the same home in Gulfport from the time she was 6 years old until Hurricane Katrina damaged her home. She was a retired vital records registrar with the state of Mississippi. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Gulfport.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hiram Rivers Singleton; her parents; and a son, Hiram Rivers Singleton, II.
She is survived by her son, Rivers Singleton, III of Bay St. Louis; daughter, Kathy Johnson of North Carolina; three grandchildren; and special childhood friends, Doris and Bob Moody.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2009, at 10 am at Evergreen Cemetery in Gulfport.
