Ina Mary Boswell Isley left our sight on the morning of March 27, 2022, after a valiant battle with pancreatic cancer. She was 75 years old.
Ina was born on February 7, 1947, in New Orleans, Louisiana. She was the daughter of Glenn O’Lee Boswell and Mary Alice Little Boswell. Ina spent the majority of her younger years in New Orleans. After graduating from Fortier High School in 1965, she went on to study Hotel, Restaurant, and Tourism at the University of New Orleans and Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, where she was a member of the Alpha Phi sorority.
After college, Ina lived a life filled with family, friendships, love, travel, and adventure. Her love for travel and adventure brought her to reside in many locations, including California, Key West, South Dakota, Mexico, and then back to Louisiana so that she could spend precious time with her family and grandchildren.
Ina is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Jan Isley; her children and their spouses: Blake Bigler, Kristie (David) Maher, and David (Brandi) Bigler; and her seven grandchildren: Rebecca (Mason) Bigler, Caden Maher, Noah Bigler, Kaleigh Maher, Jonah Bigler, Julia Bigler, and Alana Bigler.
Ina’s final resting place will be at one of her favorite spots on the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota, where she found peace and solitude.
