Imogene Magdeline "Jean" Pierce Hocutt

Jean Hocutt, age 86 and a resident of Biloxi, died on Tuesday, July 19, 2011, in Biloxi.
Mrs. Hocutt had been a resident of the MS Gulf Coast for over 60 years, and was a member of the VFW Post 2539 and the American Legion both in Gulfport.
Mrs. Hocutt is preceded in death by her parents, R.S. & Sara Cyzer Pierce; her husband, Joseph William Hocutt; her son, Wilson Hocutt; her granddaughter, Tonya Jean Holloway; her grandson, Charles Breland and her great grandson, Bobby Holloway.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary Lassabe of Gulfport; her grandchildren, Steven Mark ""Hollywood"" Holloway, Larry Kent Holloway, and Sherri Ann Holloway, all of Gulfport; her great grandchildren, Serena, Johnny, Tannielle, Raven, Cody, and Lacie and numerous great great grandchildren.
There are five generations of Hocutt women that are 20 years apart in the family: Jean Hocutt, Mary Jean Lassabe, Sherri Ann Young, Serena Ann Kerns, and Lacie Walker.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2011, at 5:00pm at the family's residence at 21348 D'Herde Road in Gulfport. For more information, please call Mary Lassabe at 228.861.0172.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the VFW Post 2539, 2518 23rd Avenue Gulfport, MS 39501.
Riemann Family Funeral Home, 274 Beauvoir Road in Biloxi, assisted the family with funeral arrangements.
