Mr. Hugh T. Reed, age 65, resident of Long Beach, died Tues., Oct. 30, 2007, in Long Beach.
Mr. Reed was born in Louisville, MS, was a carpenter by trade, and enjoyed fishing and working in his garden. His family will remember him as a very loving husband, father, and grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Nettie Smith Reed; and a son, Scottie Reed.
He is survived by his wife, Judy of Long Beach; 6 children, Hugh T. Reed, Jr. of Independence, KS, Darrell Reed of Huntsville, TX, Kristi Savage of Wimberley, TX, Ann Jenkins of Gulfport, Roger Salvage of Long Beach, and Sandra Salvage of Long Beach; 6 siblings, Glen """"Buck"""" Reed, Betty Johns, and Ray Reed, all of Louisville, MS, June Hopkins of Carrollton, MS, Ralph Reed of Saucier, and Jerry Reed of Long Beach; 17 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to the National Kidney Foundation, Inc., 30 East 33rd Street, New York, NY 10016.
A Memorial Celebration will be held on Sat., Nov. 3, 2007, at 3:00 p.m. at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 19128 Commission Road, Long Beach. Friends may visit one hour prior to services.
