Huey D. Prestwood, age 82, of Long Beach, died August 16, 2007 in Biloxi.
Mr. Prestwood was preceded in death by his parents, Harrison Prestwood and Vinnie Prestwood, his brothers, Hubert Prestwood and Curtis Prestwood, and a sister.
He is survived by his wife, Vertie Mae Prestwood of Long Beach, two children, Dennis Prestwood and his wife, Brenda, of Lizana, and Joyce Ray and her husband, Floyd, of Long Beach, four grandchildren, Denise Ladner of Lizana, Sheree Williams and her husband, Justin, of Charleston, SC, Nancy Ray and Joey Ray, both of Long Beach, and six great grandchildren, Logan, Bonnie, Devin, Bryan, Reeana, and Raeghan.
He was a longtime mechanic on the Coast and a member of the Long Beach Masonic Lodge #500. Mr. Prestwood dearly loved his great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, August 19, 2007 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at THE RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 3 Rivers Road Chapel, Gulfport. A graveside service with Masonic rites will be held on Monday, August 20, 2007 at 4:00 PM at the Long Beach City Cemetery.
