Hubert Yeager, Sr.

Hubert Allen Yeager, Sr., 92, died Sunday, June 10, 2018 in Gulfport.
A native of Wiggins, Yeager was the owner and operator of Yeager's Meat Markets in South Mississippi and in Texas. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church in Gulfport, where he served as a deacon. He worked in his brother's and uncle's markets in Wiggins and Gulfport before entering the U.S. Navy and serving in World War II. After the War, he moved back to his beloved Mississippi.
He met his late wife Yvonne Bramlett Yeager at the meat market on 30 ^th Avenue in Gulfport. She was a student at Gulfport East High School. They married March 12, 1950, and moved to McClain, MS. They had 2 sons, the late Allen Yeager, Jr. and the late Steven Harold Yeager.
He is survived by his daughters-in-law Andrea Yeager of Long Beach and Ann Yeager of Gulfport; granddaughter, Elyssa Yeager of Long Beach; great-granddaughter, Lillian Grace Yeager of Long Beach; brother, Shirley Yeager; and a host of nieces and nephews in Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Arkansas, Texas and New Mexico.
Yeager was the son of Virgil Newton Yeager and Bessie Lee Price Yeager of Bond, MS. He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years; parents; sisters, Edna Mae Yeager Johnson, Bessie E. Yeager Lundy, Lucille Patrick, Virgie Alice Barfield and Bernice Viola Yeager Sumrall; brothers, John Lafayette Yeager, Virgil Ernest Yeager, George Eli Yeager, Daniel Wayne Yeager, William Newton Yeager, Joseph Wade Yeager, Lewis Hood Yeager, Howard E. Yeager, Herman Edward Yeager and Clifton Dudley Yeager.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, June 14 ^th at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport.  The funeral will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 15 ^th in the funeral home chapel, where friends may visit 1-hour prior.
