Howard Romagossa, Jr., passed away on April 13, 2017 after a lengthy illness at the age of 85.
Howard was the beloved husband of Virginia Yvonne Moran Romagossa of 62 years; son of the late Howard L. Romagossa, Sr. and Genevieve Parker Romagossa; father of Cynthia Romagossa Gomila (David), Michael Wayne Romagossa (Shelley), and Howard Lopez Romagossa III (Rebecca); grandfather of Stephanie Gomila, Ashley Gomila, Dreux Gomila, Jessica Romagossa Venezia (John), and Nicole Romagossa Milner (Eric); great-grandfather of Greyson Gomila, Laine Mediamolle, John Venezia, V, Resse Venezia and Harper Venezia; brother of Amarylis Hastak, Rochelle Beba (Henry), Janice Kiefer (Robert), Marilyn Flores, Merlin Romagossa (Ramona), and Garrett Romagossa, Sr (Sandra); and brother-in law of Beatrice Romagossa. He is also survived by host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his brothers Harold Romagossa and Ronald Romagossa, Sr., his sister Linda Michel; and brother-in-laws, Henry Hastak, Peter Flores and Joseph Michel.
Howard had a long and successful career in the automotive industry that began at Mike Persia Chevrolet. He was later General Manager at Trapp Chevrolet in Houma and not long afterwards he owned and operated his own car dealerships in Louisiana and Mississippi. Howard was an avid golfer who also enjoyed fishing and dancing. He loved to tell jokes and play with his grandchildren. Howard was a member of both Annunciation Church in Kiln, MS where he was President of the Men's Club and St. Luke the Evangelist in Slidell, LA.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 from 11 AM -12:30 PM at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 9113 Kiln Delisle Rd. Pass Christian, MS, followed by a prayer service at 12:30 PM in the funeral home chapel. For those unable to attend services, there will be a home gathering at Cindy and David Gomila's residence, 136 Rue Royal, Slidell, LA, 70461, from 3:30-6:30 PM, Tuesday, April 18, 2017.
Interment will be held at St. Joseph Cemetery at Rotten Bayou in Diamondhead, MS. In lieu of flowers, please send memorial contributions to Alzheimer's Foundation of America. An online obituary may be viewed and tributes offered to the family at www.riemannfamily.com
