Mr. Howard J. Ladner, age 84, resident of Long Beach, passed away on Wednesday, July 28, 2010, in New Orleans.
Mr. Ladner was born in the Vidalia community to Francis and Clozenia Ladner on August 11, 1925. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII. After his military service, he went to work for Mississippi Power in 1947. He retired in 1983 after 37 years of service. He was an avid outdoorsman and was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Marilyn Ladner of Long Beach; children, Debbie Johnson (Vincent) of Pascagoula, Sheri Lott (Travis) of Pass Christian, Becky Bush (Randy) of Niceville, FL, Howard Ladner, Jr. (Becky) of Bay St. Louis, Jason Ladner of Long Beach; siblings, Alicia Buley, Irma Wilson, Ernest Ladner, and Kerman Ladner; 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, July 31, 2010, at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, Long Beach, at 2:30 p.m. Friends are invited to visit two hours prior to Mass.
Burial will follow at Evergreen Gardens.
