Hertis Ladner Moran, age 80, of Lizana, died Sunday, April 5, 2009 in Gulfport.
Mrs. Moran was a native and lifelong resident of Lizana and was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church where she sang in the choir and was a member of the altar society.. She worked for several years in the Lizana Elementary School cafeteria and was a member of the American Legion Post #119 ladies auxiliary and the Knights of Columbus ladies auxiliary. Mrs. Moran enjoyed playing cards with her friends, ceramics, going to the Senior Citizens Center, Lyman, and spending time with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lonzo and Ella Ladner, 2 brothers, Tilman Ladner and Talman Ladner, 3 sisters, Myrtle Poolson, Gertis Lizana, and Gertrude Ladnier.
Survivors include her husband of 55 years Francis J. """"White"""" Moran, Lizana, 5 children, Dot (Jerry) Necaise, Kiln, Jimmy (Diane) Parker, Saucier, Marlin Moran, Gulfport, Marlene Moran and Mary Frances Carter, both of Lizana; 1 brother, Hilman Ladner, Saucier, 1 sister, Myrtis L. Martin, Lizana; 8 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 6 - 9 pm at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11213 Hwy 49 N, Gulfport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2 pm Wednesday at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Lizana where friends may visit 1 hour prior to the mass.
Interment will be in Wolf River Cemetery.
