Herbert Melvin "Smitty" Smith, age 72, of Vancleave, passed away on Friday, July 12, 2019.
Smitty was born in Gulfport to Dave and Virginia Felton Smith.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his siblings; and granddaughter, Melissa Kay Ladner.
He is survived by his children, Lou Allen (Jim), Theresa Smith, and Vicki Ladner (John); 6 grandchildren, Codie Beasley (Latenia), Brooke Bellais, T.J. Ladner, Alisha Ladner, Ashley Bourque, Rebekah Van Buskirk, Jimmy Allen (Hali), Amber Knitter, Brandon Allen (Brittany), and 20 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 16, 2019, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, from 6:00-9:00 pm.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 17, 2019, at 11:00 am in the funeral home chapel.
Burial will be at Biloxi National Cemetery with honors to be rendered by the U.S. Army.
