Herbert C "Dennis" Ladner

June 12, 1926 — July 31, 2012

Herbert C. ""Dennis"" Ladner, 86, was born June 12, 1926, and passed away on July 31, 2012.
Herbert was a lifelong resident of Harrison County and was devoted to his Catholic faith and was a member of Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church. He was most currently employed with Roy Anderson Corp., where he ended his 45 year construction career as a superintendent.
His nature was one that you could not help loving, and his heart was purer than gold. To those who knew him and loved him, his memory will never fade. While we shed tears that he is gone, we smile because he has lived. Our hearts are empty because we can't see him, but full because of the love we shared. We can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday. We will cherish his memory and keep our eyes open to see all he's left within us, as it lives on.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edmar C. Ladnier and Senorah Ladnier; sisters, Edna Gartman Vansicle, Emma Lee Weaver, Emily F. Boone; brothers, Clifton Ladner and Jackie Ladner; and his beloved grandson whom he raised as a son, Davey Ladner.
Herbert is survived by his wife of 68 years, Laura Mary Ladner; sons, Larry Ladner (Janelle) and Douglas Ladner (Lisa); his beloved grandchildren, Shannon Latimer (Art), Sonia Ladner, Brian Ladner, Kendall Ladner, Robin Fine, Wendy Bradford, Brandi Bryant (Chad), and James Murray (Sara); 16 great grandchildren, Ashley and Aaron Latimer, Alecia Dennison (BJ), Cheyenne and Dakota Scarborough, Jadalyn and Kiley Fine, Preston, Jenny, and Laurel Bradford, Caleb and Kameron Ladner, Jenna Ladner, Torie Foutch, McKenna and Pacer Bryant; 1 great great grandson, Karsyn; and a host of other family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 3, 2012, at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Kiln Delisle Road, from 9:00-11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m.
