Henry Kener Wilson, also known as """"Red"""" or """"Harmon"""", died at the age of 78 in his Harrison County home on Sunday, July 16, 2006, after a longtime illness.
Mr. Wilson is preceded in death by his parents, George Wilson and Mattie Wilson Ladner of Lizana; son, Steven Kendal; grandson, Michael """"Montana"""" Wilson; five sisters and two brothers.
Mr. Wilson is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Alma Jeanette; his children, Rickey and wife Mary Ellen, Rhonda Campbell and husband Walt, Henry Wendell and wife Liz, Michael """"Mike"""" and wife Sandy, Candy Sims and husband Mike; a loving son-in-law, James """"Rat"""" Berberette; twelve grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Wilson was a member of the First Free Church of God, and served in the US Navy during WWII. He was a very loving husband, daddy, papaw, uncle and brother. He was greatly loved by many and will be sadly missed, but he will never be forgotten.
Visitation was held Tuesday, July 18, 2006 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at Gulf Coast Funeral Home, Three Rivers Road Chapel, Gulfport.
Funeral services will be today, Wednesday, July 19, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at First Free Church of God on Three Rivers Road in Gulfport were friends may visit one hour prior. Burial will follow at First Free Church of God Cemetery.
