Helena C. Chambliss, age 90, resident of Pass Christian, died, Tuesday, January 16, 2007 in Gulfport.
Mrs. Chambliss was born in Bay St. Louis and was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Curt Chambliss; parents, John Joseph & Laura Franko Fernandez;sisters, Mary DeMetz, Leola DeMetz, Gertrude Cox and Bootsie Woodcock; brothers, Joseph Norris, Ernest Norris and John Fernandez; son, Robert Eugene """"Bobby"""" Parker; daughter, Barbara Ann Parker.
Mrs. Chambliss is survived by her son, Jesse """"Lolly"""" Parker and wife Shannon of Pass Christian; daughter in law, Gayle Parker of Pass Christian; sister, Inez Pogue of Long Beach; nine grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday, January 19, 2007 from 12:30-2:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Services will follow at 2:00 p.m. with burial at St. Paul Cemetery. Msgr. James McGough will be officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to The American Diabetes Association, Memorial and Honor Program, P.O. Box 1132, Fairfax, VA 22038-1132.
