Helen Lucille Snyder, formerly of Melbourne, Florida gained her angel wings on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at her new home in Pass Christian, Mississippi at the sweet age of 82. She was from Cumberland, Maryland and loved telling stories of her childhood times there and trips to Atlantic City on the weekends with her friends. Her parents, Claude and Catherine Moore, both preceded her in death along with two of her brothers Bill and Paul Moore. She has one surviving brother Richard Moore. She has three daughters, Bretta Steadman, Theresa Gregg, and Cathy Woodham. She has ten grandchildren, Michael and Isabelle Steadman; Noah and Zach Wimer; Rachel, Justin, and Ashley Gregg; and Ronnie, Dereck, and Trevor Woodham. She has five great-grandchildren, Dakota Rose Wimer; Riley, Adalynn, Delton, and Monroe Woodham.
Helen was a loving and devoted mother and truly great friend. She enjoyed bingo, playing cards, board games, and playing Sudoku puzzles. She loved sitting around the camp fire whether in Alaska or in Mississippi and simply reminiscing with friends. Helen did not know the meaning of fear. She would go on any adventure and laugh the entire way. She jumped from a cliff into cold waters below after taking a four wheeler adventure to the Predator Film site in Mexico. She teased her grandchildren into parasailing by leading by example while in her 70s. She climbed Baldy Mountain in Alaska at 79. Her zest and zeal for life was infectious. She never knew the meaning of a stranger and would have given her last cent to someone in need.
She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all that had the pleasure of knowing her.
Her celebration of life will be Saturday, January 2, 2021 at 4:30 pm on the beach near Route 90 and Henderson. Helen would have been 83 on this glorious day.
